Patient Education Brochure

Final printed brochure.

This project was created in collaboration with Wellstar MCG Health Augusta University Cardiovascular Center.

The objective was to design and implement a brochure that explains lead extraction surgery to incoming patients.

Preliminary concept.

After initial client meetings, a preliminary thumbnail draft of the brochure was developed. At this stage, the aim was to begin conceptualizing page design and imagery. This preliminary concept was reviewed by the client as well as faculty and peers.

Final drawings and preliminary color.

Revisions were made to illustrations and page design to assure that storytelling was clear and concise. Drawings were finalized and text drafted. Preliminary color was added and brought to the client. Feedback on color and text was provided by the client.

The final brochure.

Following client meetings, revisions were made to color, text, and layout. Illustrations were fully rendered and finalized. Layout was revised to assure Wellstar brand standards were met. The final brochure was printed and implemented within Wellstar MCG Health.

The brochure is a recipient of a Social Impact Award from the AMI 2024 Student Salon, as well as an Award of Excellence from the 2024 UGA/AU Scientific & Medical Illustration Juried Exhibition.
